Company Milestones

On July 5, 2013, the 3000HP HTHP drilling rig was unveiled at the headquarters of Hilong in Beijing, and the senior management of Shell Nigeria and the executive vice president of Shell headquarters in The Netherlands attended the ceremony.

On May 30, 2013, HL-18 (650 workover rig) began spudding in Ecuador, marking Hilong's entry into the high-end customer market and laying a solid foundation for further exploration of the Ecuadorian market.

On May 26, 2013, a contract was signed between Hilong Oil Service & Engineering Nigeria Ltd. (Nigeria) and Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria (SPDC) concerning the 3000HP HTHP drilling rig and marking a new stage of Hilong's cooperation with Shell.

On May 14, 2013, Hilong's HL-28 (650 workover rig) began spudding in Ecuador, representing Hilong's further inroads with high-end customers and the Ecuadorian market and marking another milestone in the company’s history.

On December 27, 2012, PETROAMAZONA EP purchased two 650 workover rigs from Hilong, indicating that Hilong had won the recognition of a state sponsored oil company of Ecuador and providing opportunities for subsequent exploration of the Ecuadorian oil drilling market.

On December 23, 2012, Hilong's HL-17 (2000HP drilling rig) began spudding in Ecuador, indicating Hilong's further growth in the Ecuadorean market.

On September 1, 2012, Hilong's HL-15 (2000HP drilling rig) began spudding in Ecuador, marking Hilong's further expansion in the Ecuadorean drilling rig market.

On June 19, 2012, Hilong's HL-9 (1500HP drilling rig) began spudding in Colombia, turning a new page in Hilong's exploration of the South American market.

On April 7, 2012, Hilong's HL-19 (2000HP drilling rig) began spudding in Nigeria in accordance with a 7,000 meter onshore drilling rig contract signed between Hilong and SPDC, which was the second of its kind since Hilong began its cooperative relationship with SPDC less than a year before.

On January 26, 2012, the Hilong (Colombia) Oil Service & Engineering Co., Ltd was incorporated in Bogota, Colombia.

On December 16, 2011, Hilong's HL-16 (2000HP drilling rig) began spudding in Ecuador, which represented Hilong's first time cooperating with Schlumberger, and turned a new page in Hilong's exploration of the Ecuadorean drilling rig market.

On August 9, 2011, Hilong's HL-2 (2000HP drilling rig) began spudding in Nigeria, which was Hilong's first cooperative effort with Shell, and marked an important milestone in the company’s development.

On March 28, 2011, Hilong's HL-12 (oil bailing machine) bailed the first barrel of oil in Ecuador.

On January 30, 2011, Hilong's HL-10 (2000HP drilling rig) began spudding in the Kurdish Region of Iraq, where it collaborated with an Egyptian drilling company to provide the main contract party to the project with drilling services. It also represented an effort by Hilong to expand the forms of its services, providing experience for Hilong's future market exploration and operations. 

On January 16, 2011, Hilong's HL-7 (2000HP drilling rig) began spudding in Ecuador. It was Hilong's first 2000HP oil rig to be engaged in overseas operations, indicating that Hilong had acquired the strength to involve itself in the global drilling rig market and international drilling operations.

On July 26, 2010, Hilong Oil Service & Engineering Nigeria Ltd. (Nigeria) was incorporated in Lagos, Nigeria.

On December 15, 2009, Hilong Drilling & Supply FZE (UAE) was incorporated in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

On September 30, 2009, Hilong's HL-3 successfully performed a downhole dual tubing operation at MARIANN-24 well in Tarapoa, Ecuador, which was the first ever such effort in the local area. It not only greatly increased the single well oil production for the contract party, but also increased Hilong’s influence in Tarapoa, laying a solid foundation for its further exploration of the Ecuadorian drilling and workover market.

On August 5, 2009, Hilong's HL-6 (30C drilling rig) began spudding in Kazakhstan. On July 24, 2009, Hilong's HL-8 (30C drilling rig) began spudding in Kazakhstan.

On June 27, 2009, Hilong's HL-3 (650 workover rig) began spudding in Ecuador. This was Hilong's first (drilling) workover rig to be engaged in overseas operations, marking the beginning of Hilong's overseas operations.

On March 18, 2009, Hilong Oil Service & Engineering Ecuador Cia. Ltda. (Ecuador) was incorporated in Quito, Ecuador.

On September 24, 2008, Hilong's first drilling rig HL-6 (30C drilling rig) was shipped to Kazakhstan.

On August 22, 2008, Hilong acquired Hilong Petroleum Technology & Engineering Co., Ltd. (Kazakhstan), which became Hilong Oilfield Service Kazakhstan Branch.

On July 16, 2008, Hilong Oil Service & Engineering Co., Ltd. was incorporated in Beijing, China with a registered capital of 80 million yuan.
