RIH dual tubing job successfully in Ecuador, increased oil production a lot

    MARIANN- 24 well , where dual tubing job operated in ,located in the TARAPOA area, Ecuador. Its artificial bottom hole is 9367ft, with the two target layers respectively are in 7141.39ft and 7376.77ft.The Oil Company wanted to produce oil from the two reservoirs at the same time. It is the first time to apply dual tubing job to produce oil in a single well in the local area, and also a challenge for us. Not only the project department leaders but also every member of HILONG-3 felt the greatness of the responsibility and the significance. They organized the production carefully and gained the great success, and we were highly praised by the operator. It also brings the operator a substantial profit and raises the daily oil output from 1000 barrels per day to 2000 barrels per day.
    In order to meet the requirement of dual tubing operation, we’ve improved some of the rig equipment and adopted advanced tools such as dual tubing hydraulic tongs (with torque gauge and recording indicator), dual tubing air spider and slip and dual tubing air spider elevator.
    We also cooperated with two world famous oil service companies which are schlumberger and weatherford in respect of techniques.
    Running dual tubing operation started from 16:00 12th September, the depth of the dual tubing respectively reached 7141.38ft and 7376.77ft on 30th Sep. It took only 18 days to finish this job and succeeded.
    This dual tubing operation has been highly appreciated by the clients and got good recognition and reputation in the local market, it is a important step for Hilong to become the famous international drilling contractor in the future.
