Underbalanced Drilling

Underbalanced drilling is a drilling operation carried out when the hydrostatic fluid column pressure is less than the formation pressure. This method produces very good effects during the earlier stages of hydrocarbon discovery and in terms of the protection of the target zone. It is widely applied, especially in the drilling of the third and fourth intervals. Underbalanced drilling can be divided into air drilling, mist drilling, foam drilling, drilling with aerated drilling fluid, drilling with water or brine drilling fluid, drilling with oil-based drilling fluid or oil-in-water drilling fluid, mud cap drilling, among other types of drilling.

The company possesses all the necessary equipment and technical expertise for the entire process of underbalanced drilling from design to execution.
